Exquisite Weddings Advisory Board Luncheon

We were so honored to be asked to do the florals for the Exquisite Weddings Advisory Board luncheon. Since it was at the San Diego Culinary Institute we went with a “fresh food” theme, utilizing more organic veggies, legumes and fungi more than actual flowers. And to top off this fun, Sharon got asked to be on the Advisory Board, so exciting!! Here are some fun shots by 927 Photography.

Grecian Love

Recently we had an amazing shoot with Lynn of Pure Planning and John of Schnack Studios. We went for a Greek theme which was really fun and dramatic at the Grand Del Mar. Concepts Event Design’s rentals combined with Lynn’s decorative accents really did a number on this shoot. Enjoy!

Mama’s Day 2010

As a long time Mama’s Kitchen volunteer I was thrilled when Darin Dietz asked me to supply floral decor for the organization’s biggest fundraiser of the year, Mama’s Day. This year 71 restaurants came out to strut their stuff and serve up the city’s best food. We were honored to come in and decorate this tasty environment.

Special thanks to Darin Dietz Events, Sean of Resolusean, Plush Lounge, Concepts Event Design, Hyatt La Jolla, Estancia La Jolla, Dining Details and TK&A.

American Liver Foundation ’10

Though we participate in a number of charitable events throughout the year, this is the third year in a row that we have decorated a table for the American Liver Foundation benefit. Each year each participating restaurant and/or caterer teams up with an event decor company (mainly florists) in order to give the table’s dining guests a unique experience within the room of twenty some tables.

This year we teamed up with Chef Timothy Ralphs and the Estancia Hotel and Spa in La Jolla. Our table theme was “contemporary green” displayed by very limited water use, the focus on renewable and sustainable resources as well as local growers. For this we chose to use two of our in house DRI creations, Tilted Manzanitas and Stacked Vases. The following pictures were provided by the world famous team at SheWanders. Special thanks to Concepts Event Design for the use of their linens and chairs and to Rock Paper Scissors for the awesome menus.

Who’s it going to be??

Recently we decided to be part of an auction created to raise awareness and funds for a fellow florist. Her name is Peggy and she needs help as she was recently diagnosed with Cancer. She’s a warrior, but she needs an army. That where we stepped in. We a long with nearly 100 local vendors are donating our services to be bid on in order to raise money for Peggy’s fight. The bidding has begun but there is still time, the auction ends on Friday night.

Here’s the link to check out what we’re offering as well as our fellow vendors.

REVO for Peggy

A wise man once said, “Be the change you want to see in the world.” This is one that we can all take part in.

Where creativity takes root…

This is a picture from promo shoot done by Suzanne and Mike of SheWanders Photography with our resident munchkin, Sharon’s daughter Olivia. Her gaze here is just so fitting because it reflects a bride dreaming of a day that’s perfectly hers. Some of our brides dream of their wedding day their whole lives while some need a little assistance to find their vision. No matter where you are along your path, know that we’re here and eager to help. Wedding dates are still available for this wedding season but don’t delay, they’re going fast.

Here are some other fun pictures:

Concepts Open House

This last Thursday we had the pleasure to work with some fantastic coordinators to create unique looks with Concepts Event Design’s unique rentals. Though more pictures are still coming, here’s a sneak peak of our tables with Red Letter Days and Theory Weddings and Events.

Another Design for the DRI Line

Succulent and moss stackings with manzanita accents, our newest design submitted to DRI by Organic Elements. This design takes absolutely no water to produce.

More about DRI

As a company, we understand that buying organic and reducing chemical usage is important, however here in California we have even higher priorities.

Due to fires, droughts and various other conditions, California has a water shortage. Though you can rest assured that we don’t waste a drop, there is now a way to conserve even more through your design choices. DRI by Organic Elements, is our line of contemporary designs which use little to no water to produce.

You, the designer, will be able to choose among a dozen new designs in the DRI line. You can choose them all, you can choose none, but at least a choice exists. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you have regarding Organic Elements DRI.

Living Within Our Community

We find it important to get involved in our community, after all your environment, for the most part, is what you make of it. Here are some of the kids from our second annual neighborhood Ester egg hunt, planned for the children in the neighborhood by Organic Elements.

Colby and Kyle

What an amazing couple. We were very fortunate to be a part of this wedding. Not only was this a wonderful couple but the family was a pleasure as well. We had actually done an out of town wedding for the family’s eldest daughter and were thrilled to be brought on for Colby’s wedding too, which was here at The Omni Hotel. Aided by April from The Bride and I we were able to turn mother and daughter’s wishes into a beautiful night. Thank you to Mark of Unveiled Photography for these fantastic images.
