Living Magazine Smile Booth for Exquisite Weddings!

This is one of my favorite things we’ve done, a live version of the current issue of Exquisite Weddings for their launch party. I dreamed it up during a sleepless night in Los Angeles. It began as a smile booth with flowers in between the frames that party goers would stick their head through. Then it became the backdrop of The Scream, where people would pose with their hands on their cheeks. But I realized it could be so much more unique and interactive than that. What we ultimately created was a living, breathing version of the current issue of the issue which party goers could pose in front of like the two on the cover, complete with props like a bouquet and boutonniere like the couple on the cover had.

Decked by the unique stationary lettering and credit sign of Bamboo Star and shot by the amazing Sharon De La O (her pics will be up soon), this station was an absolute hit!

From One Sharon to Another

When our Sharon met this one, they had an instant connection, having the same uncommon name helped . So when our bride Sharon wanted us to create a sparkly and crisp modern wedding at Andaz, we of course leaped at the chance. With the help of the ever so talented Naomi Goodman of At First Blush, this dazzling wedding was sure to be a hit. Enjoy a little rooftop charm as we make our way through this fun wedding!

A few weeks ago we had another delightful wedding at one of our favorites, the beautiful Estancia in La Jolla. It was a stunning modern wedding in white, tangerine, pewter and touches of teal. I loved how the intimacy of this wedding allowed us to really load each area with color and texture. It also didn’t hurt that we had an amazing team headed up by Christina of Bliss Events.

Homespun at Darlington House

This was such a beautiful wedding starring our lovely bride Kim. With long tables, a touch of burlap, wood elements and of course mason jars, she managed to make Darlington House just a little bit brighter. Adding to the enchanting scents of blossoms and branches was the amazing Coast Catering with their unbelievable delights served family style. Thank you again to the team at Classic Party Rentals and of course Emilie and Lisa at the Darlington House.

What a stunning wedding. From the lovely settings of USD’s Immaculata to Estancia’s La Jolla Ballroom, this wedding started off with stunning beauty, which was only enhanced by our gorgeous couple and their wonderful team. Enter Susanne of Crown Weddings, with all of her style and elegance. She put together an amazing look including luxurious linens by La Tavola, stylish rentals and dance floor by Chiavari Chair Rentals, a knock out band by Wayne Foster Entertainment and exquisite florals smothered with orchids, anemones and garden roses. The enchanted evening ended sweetly with an over the top cake by Michel Coulon Dessertier and there to capture it all was the amazing Joshua of Joshua Aull Photography. Estancia’s Amazing Celebration

Last week we had the unbelievable honor of producing the florals for Estancia’s Reintroduction Party. To celebrate the purchase of the property by PHG, Estancia threw a blow out party, with a guest list quickly moving from 400 to 650 guests!! Needless to say we are so excited to have been a part of this very special night along with Concepts Event Design and Trinitas Winery!

Melissa and Kerry

I love this wedding, partly because I just love this family! About three years ago I first met this wonderful family when we were hired to produce the florals for Melissa’s sister, Tara. She, and her mom, were such an absolute pleasure, and I’ll never forget her sister Melissa’s heartfelt words when seeing the ballroom before the bride “It’s so beautiful, Tara’s going to be so happy!”. How can anyone not be overjoyed to have the opportunity to do the same for such an amazing sister??
